United Way of Pasco Takes Washington D.C.

Our Vice President, Laura Knight, and Fighting Human Trafficking Program Manager, Benjamin Ortberg, recently attended the United Way Worldwide Advocacy Forum Week at the Capitol! They advocated for our federal grant application with the Office for Victims of Crime, aiming to expand our support for survivors across Florida. While in DC, they met with Florida Representatives and the Staff of Senator Marco Rubio to discuss our anti-human trafficking initiatives. Special thanks to Congressman Gus Bilirakis and Senator Rubio for their unwavering support! We also appreciate Congresswomen Kat Cammack, Laurel Lee, Cathy Castor, and Congressman Daniel Webster for their commitment to this cause. Our DC visit was unforgettable, thanks to United Way of Florida and Congressman Aaron Bean! We toured the Capitol, the Office of the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and witnessed all 435 House members in action. This experience was truly one for the memory books!
