United Way of Pasco County Earns Highest Charity Rating and 8.41% Overhead in Recent Audit

Land O’ Lakes, FL, March 1, 2024 - United Way of Pasco County proudly announces its attainment of a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the leading independent charity evaluator in the United States. This prestigious recognition underscores United Way of Pasco County’s dedication to financial stewardship, transparency, and accountability in its operations. Additionally, in the latest audit conducted in 2023, the organization achieved an impressive overhead of only 8.41%, meaning a remarkable 91.59% of funds were directed towards crucial services and community initiatives.

 

Charity Navigator rigorously evaluates charitable organizations based on various financial metrics and transparency standards. United Way of Pasco County’s attainment of a 4-star rating places it among the top echelons of nonprofits nationwide. According to Charity Navigator, only a quarter of rated charities receive this esteemed distinction, reflecting United Way of Pasco County's commitment to excellence.

United Way of Pasco County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been serving the community since its 1981, focusing on critical areas such as domestic violence and human trafficking, adult and child abuse, financial stability, homelessness, mental health, physical health, substance abuse recovery, and youth success and education. Through strategic initiatives, workplace giving campaigns, and community donations, the organization allocates funding through its Community Impact Grant to deserving Pasco County-based agencies aligned with its mission.
