What We Do.
United Way of Pasco County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to improve lives for children, families, and individuals in all of Pasco County. We work with over 40 partner agencies to assist our neighbors in their darkest hours and to find sustainable solutions to major issues in our community.
Who We Do It With.
In partnership with over 40 other non-profit agencies, local government agencies, business partners, community advocates and volunteers we are able to make the difference our community needs.
How We Do It.
United Way Community Impact Fund investments focus on prevention, early intervention and the application of best practices to create a significant impact for local people in need. Community Impact funded programs provide a regional network of support services and safety-nets to help people across all walks of life and levels of need. As the Community Impact Fund grows, so will United Way’s ability to move the needle on solutions to our community’s most critical challenges.
FOCUS AREAS.
Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence
We’re making sure that these survivors have the support they need to safely reenter into society to provide a safe and healthy environment for their children and themselves.
Adult and Child Abuse
Combat financial exploitation of elders, encourage reporting abuse, protecting children from risk of abuse, strengthening families and educate the public to make Pasco County safer for all.
Mental Health
We’re ensuring that individuals with mental illness are being connected and treated with the right programs and resources that will enable them to live independently.
Economic Mobility
We’re helping people learn financial skills and qualities for good paying jobs with opportunities for advancement.
Substance Addiction
We’re helping people seek and go though the recovery process so that they can rejoin society and amend relationships with their loved ones.
Health
We’re promoting access to quality health care and wellness opportunities for children, families and individuals.
Youth Success and Education
We’re making sure children are ready for school, stay on track and graduate on time prepared for college or for a career.
Homelessness
We’re assisting the homeless population and individuals and families, at risk of homelessness to achieve self-sufficiency.
