SERTOMA SPEECH AND HEARING FOUNDATION
TO CELEBRATE “LOUD & CLEAR” HEARING

New Port Richey (June 16, 2018) – Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation will have free phones to share with Florida residents who have a certified hearing loss on Saturday, July 30 at the CARES Crescent Center in Dade City (13906 5th St., 33525) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Sertoma Foundation will be providing free amplified telephones made available by Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc., a nonprofit organization. Cordless and corded phones are also available to persons with mild to severe hearing loss at distribution centers statewide. The limit is one per customer.

Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation and Florida Telecommunications Relay are partnering to provide hearing screenings and amplified home phones to eligible individuals. For additional information, contact Ian David with Sertoma Foundation at (727) 312-3881 at Sertoma Foundation headquarters in New Port Richey.

Hearing Loss is the most common birth defect nationally. Early detection and intervention is vital for an infant to have the opportunity to access speech and other sounds for learning and brain development. Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation assists hard of hearing babies, children, and adults to avoid a life of isolation and hear the world around them so they can succeed personally, academically, and socially.

The mission of the Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation of Florida is to enhance individual potential and quality of life through better hearing.
