Severe Weather Potential
County Emergency Operations Center Level: 3 (Monitoring)

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Pasco County at 1020hrs (10:20am) and it will remain effective until 1900hrs (7:00pm) this evening.
 Tornado Watches is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorm capable of producing tornadoes.
Possible Impacts for Pasco County:
 Damaging wind speeds
 Hail up of 1 - 2”
 Frequent, deadly lightning strikes
 Localized flash flooding
 Issuance of small craft advisories
 Isolated power outages
 Isolated tornadoes
 Emergency Management requests that Departments locate, turn on, and monitor weather radios for storm warning updates.
 Emergency Management will continue to monitor the progress and changes of this potential severe weather event and provide additional Flash Reports as needed. Stay tuned to local news stations for updates after normal business hours.

Pasco County Offices to close for Good Friday

PASCO COUNTY, FL ---- Pasco County Government offices, including the Constitutional Offices and the Courts, will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018 in observance of Good Friday. All government offices and the Courts will reopen Monday, April 2, 2018.

The Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources’ Offices, Recreation Complexes and Community Centers will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018; however, the parks and beaches will stay open to the public from dawn to dusk.

All Pasco County Libraries will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018 and will resume regular business hours Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) will be providing service on all fixed routes and paratransit on Friday, March 30, 2018. PCPT administrative offices will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018.

The Pasco County Animal Services Administration Office, Adoption Center, Intake/Reclaim Shelter and Field Services will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018. An Animal Control Officer will be available for emergencies only. The Adoption Center & Intake/Reclaim will resume regular business hours Saturday, March 31, 2018.

The Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility, West Pasco Class III, and the East Pasco Transfer Station will be closed to the public Friday, March 30, 2018; however, they will be open to Pasco County licensed commercial haulers.

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office will be closed Friday, March 30, 2018 and Saturday, March 31, 2018.
